Elena Cambio Creative
Elena has been creating since she wrote her first “book” at the age of six – The Planets, with all nine (there were nine back then) named and drawn in crayon, the pages bound with yarn. Since then she has improved her techniques, upgraded her materials, and expanded her repertoire to include writing feature articles, screenplays and scripts, reports and proposals, blog posts, a novel (due out 2021) and the occasional short story. She also copy edits, proofreads, and has tutored academic writing for many years. Her hobbies include reading, arts and crafts, calligraphy, playing the violin, and making short videos.
Brought up on the South Shore of Boston, she now resides near Rochester, New York where she teaches Middle School ELA and Religion at St. John Bosco School. She is also a regular blogger at the newly formed Catholic Courier Young Adult Blog for the Diocese of Rochester. She is particularly attracted to contemplative and mystic theology, with special attention to the Carmelite saints, St. Catherine of Siena, and Julian of Norwich. Elena holds an M.A. in Linguistics from Ohio University and an M.F.A. in Imaging Arts from the Rochester Institute of Technology. |
